Introduction to Model United Nations

Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations that gives students the opportunity to experience international diplomacy firsthand. Participants, known as delegates, represent different countries and work together in committees to address pressing global issues such as conflict resolution, sustainable development, human rights, and international law. Through research, debate, and negotiation, delegates draft resolutions, build coalitions, and develop public speaking and leadership skills in a dynamic, formal setting. MUN conferences are designed to promote global awareness, critical thinking, and empathy by encouraging students to understand and advocate for diverse viewpoints.
